Stop calling the $20 Saint-Gaudens coin part of the Indian Gold collection. There simply is no $20 Indian gold piece. It's ridiculous that it's marketed as such.

Who's calling a St Gaudens by that title? Kinda ridiculous to me.

everywhere I look to see a set of " Indian Gold ", they try to package that $2,000 add on since it's the $20 piece of that period. Below is an example, and it irrates me. There are 3 Indian Gold pieces. $2.50, $5 and $10. That's it. No more. You cannot even count "Indian Princess $1 and $3" in that grouping, let alone St. Gaudens. http://www.usgoldbureau.com/4-pc--gold-indian-set

Good-enough reason not to do business with them.

Would it be ok if they called it the "4 Piece Saint-Gaudens Set" instead?

I don't and never will deal with anyone selling coins that has an 800 number.

I sent this via their comment submission form to the people in the OP/s post; "The $29.00 St. Gaudens gold piece is NOT an indian, never was and does not belong in a set being marketed as a set of indian gold coins." It will be interesting to see if and how they respond to that. Ed ANA LM-3175

Is it possible that they are saying it is Indians doing the selling? Or these were once owned by Indians? Or the Gold was mined by Indians?

I don't remember ever seeing a St Gaudens called an Indian before but I definitely believe it would get on my nerves also if I ever did

Good luck getting these to go away - Capital Plastics has a holder for them, and even NGC has certified the group of four together as one... :-\

It's insanity. So I'll take my stabbed $10, 5, and $2.50 Indians and package them with my Franklin halves and call it a Benjamin Indian set

Quote: I don't and never will deal with anyone selling coins that has an 800 number. Hey I had one for years when dealing coins full time. Saved a lot of money an I sold it for a good sum too! Most of my dealer friends also had 800 numbers. Don;t want to miss out on getting a deal because someone didn't want to pay for a phone call. This was in the days before cell phones and unlimited calling however.
