You know, like the one that NGC has that holds the coin by 4 points. I think that would be nice. Also, redesign their holder. Don't care for their current one. Thoughts swcoin.ecrater.com

Personally, the newer one is better than their older ones. I really like the curved top of the new one - when stored in a box, you can tell what the coin is w/out having to remove it

I think ANACS is the only one who likes their new holder. I don't recall anyone liking the new holder.

I like the older white ANACS holder LOTS better than any of their "aerodynamic" ones.

I agree, I don't care for the new holder, and while I'm sure there are people who like it, it seems the vast majority like the older one.

Agreed, I like the old little white one best... The new ones not at all, I have a couple coins I'd like attributed, but won't send them to ANACS strictly because I despise the holder. I'm not really a fan of slabbed coins anyways, so if I really don't like the slab its easy to not choose them...

My first slabbed coin is in the new ANACS holder. I like it. It almost gives the feeling the coin is floating with the mostly transparent ring or whatever it is inside that holds the coin. But again, this is my first slabbed coin, so I've never seen the slabs from the other grading companies.

Here are the three for comparison. ANACS NGC PCGS Don't get me wrong, I am actually sending a Colonial to ANACS soon here. Reason is it's not a terribly valuable coin but I do want it in a slab, and ANACS is the most cost affective. By the way. That Silver Center Cent in the ANACS holder was bought locally here at an L.A. County Sheriffs auction for $500! Guy sent it to ANACS...there is the result. Estimate: $300,000

The holder means nothing to me. It is only temporary.

LOL @ jbuck - his coins are free range!
I like the older small white holder the best, then SEGS holder (but it's too big) then PCGS newest holder. ANACS newer holder isn't even on my list, though I have quite a few ANACS boxes full of them. I trust their authentication and designation on VAMs, not so much their grading all the time (as much as PCGS anyways).

I don't like the color used in the ANACS holders. To me they look like ANACS simply cut up an old manilla folder for the insert. Either this or it looks like a design for something they would have had in the 30s if slabs had existed. I am not s designer, so I am not sure how I would make it look better, but these are very unattractive to me.

Id be happy if they just used the blue label instead of yellow.

The gold color signifies richness and worth. I think that's what ANACS was going after with their newer holder. Unfortunately, it seems too strong and detracts from the coin.

Quote: You know, like the one that NGC has that holds the coin by 4 points Actually ANACS does have an edge view type holder but they only seem to use it for special promotional items and possible the President and NA dollars.
