Over the past few months, I have fallen in love with BN (brown) and RB (red-brown) copper pieces. Here are a few of my shots over the past 9 months. There is something quite photogenic about copper that silver, nickel, and gold don't quite live up to.

My set-up is a Canon T2i, Pentax Autobellows, the beloved 75ARD1 lens, and 3 Jansjo lights with homemade versions of "Ray's cone deflectors".

Cheers,
-Brandon

Beautiful work BRG! Is your lens one of the newer models with adjustable focus? Been thinking of getting that lens, as I know of where several are, both older and newer ones.

@CaptainFwiffo: I don't have a picture handy of the deflectors, but I'll try to post one sometime in the next couple days.

@westcoin: I didn't know the APO-Rodagon-D 75mm f/4 1:1 came with adjustable focus? All of the focusing I do happens at the Pentax Autobellows focus rail. I actually have two of the 75ARD1 lenses; based on the font used on them I think one is an older and one is a newer manufacture version.

This coin arrived late last week. Another copper beauty.

I still need to post images of my cone deflectors for your Captain -- I haven't forgotten.

I've seen two types offered for sale, one seems to have a focus control, I do understand the bellow is the magnification and focusing. One of the lenses I've seen looks very different from the others, much smaller and slender, but has the same description on the lens ring APO-Rodagon-D 75mm f/4 1:1

@westcoin: There are two version available, but the differences don't have to do with focusing as far as I have seen. One is the version with a fixed aperture at f/4, and the other is the one with a turn knob to allow you to stop down the aperture from f/4 through f/22 I believe. I think that's probably what you're referring to. Below are pictures of the two different versions (from Mark Goodman's summary webpage).

f/4 fixed Aperture:

f/4 with variable aperture functionality:

Yep that was it, I just hadn't realized it was only an aperture ring, I thought it was focus, doh! THose are each of the two lenses I've seen. Is there a huge reason I should go for the one that is adjustable? Ican't imagine shooting much above F/5.6 anyways.
