In commemoration of Victoria I'd like to share my newly complete Newfoundland $2 set. This project began on April 27, 2012 with the 1882H and finished this afternoon with the arrival of the 1872. In order to remain solvent I sought modest grades and allowed for scratches, dents and hairlines - holed coins were passed over. I couldn't be excessively picky as these $2 gold pieces are not easy to come by as you know, hence a few of them are a bit rough. Upgrading is not something I plan to rush into, at least until the coffers have refilled. You'll have to excuse the poor images; my camera is not suited to this purpose. I've included two images showing re-engraved digits on the 1870 3-Dot and the 1880. With the 1872 my Newfoundland master set is complete - save a few varieties with anywhere from zero to two certified. Gathering these coins from across North America into a finished set has been quite rewarding. It has been equally enjoyable to share these wonderful coins with enthusiasts such as those with whom I've interacted in this community. Thanks for looking. ThomasJefferson, Please take a well-deserved bow. Based upon your comments, I expected a set of "doggy" specimens - but your coins are lovely. My specialty (ironic, considering your username and avatar) is Jefferson nickels, but I cannot help being held in awe of your accomplishment. Congratulations on completing a wonderful set. -Joseph Curwen

Something I had never seen in one place before. Congrats on such a great collection and a milestone. I wonder how many other complete collections are out there?

Nice to see both obverse types for the 1870s... thanks for sharing.
