I would like to bid on this item. I am still not comfident on my ability to grade with accuracy. An estimate of grade for this item would sure help me with my bidding.

I think it would make EF40... VF30 at worst. It is a nice coin.

Thanks so much for your reply.I don't mind bidding a decent amount for a decent coin. I just don't like to hear I have bought a coin and then find out it was two levels lower than the grade I based my bid on (that is I paid twice or triple the price it was worth).

It went for about $58 Canadian including shipping. I don't know if I would have got it had I bid $5 more so I just let it go. It was nice enough quality for my needs but I am sure there will be other opportunities. I am new to this ebay thing. I'm not sure which is worse:wishing you had bid a little higher after the fact when you did not get something or winning something and then feeling you paid too much. I think the latter is worse. It's easier to find another auction for something you missed than to try to recoup costs on an item you paid too much for.

I think it's better that you stuck to your guns price-wise.

I've done a lot of ebay transactions, and I try not to get caught up in the emotional aspect of bidding. If I've bid the most I would want to pay and lose, a similar item will always come along in the future.

I agree, you just have to have the patience to wait.
