I really thought I had it down with the large date ,small date.Im not so sure with this one ,because the "9" looks somewhat chisel't and not blunt.
Maybe just PMD?

Thank you

It is a large date. Look how much further past the 0 the tail of the 7 goes. You have to use all of the diagnosis info, not just one.

You guys got this down. I bet it is the question most asked on this forum? But images will help show WHY it is a large date. Feel free to save mine and post them in case I'm not around.

Coop,

Thank you for the pictures. They have helped me a lot while going through my little pile of 1970S cents.

Back in the 70's when I first became aware
of this coin it was referred to as the High Seven.
As Seal stated and in Coops pics. the 7 is a good
point to look at first. Actually it is the first point
that I look at. I think the older term High Seven got
a little confusing as the 7 is not always higher than the 0
Anyway, just draw a mental or physical line along the bottom
of the 7 and 0 Very quick and easy to i.d. that way.

I'm OK, but I'm not always around. Others have started posting them.

They are on the DVD. Note my signature line and you can get a copy.
Rest in Peace
