Portland, Oregon. Congratulations!

EVERY TIME I go on ebay to look for a Mercury dime, I am baraged with postings from a company in Portland, Oregon (I won't mention it here) that sells exclusively cleaned Mercury dimes.

They don't admit the coins are cleaned... there is a vague reference to grade (e.g., high grade) and a disclaimer in the description that the coins are more than 50 years old and you can expect that they have been cleaned at some point.

They must be doing a great business... they have by far the most variety of Mercury dimes on ebay; and they are ALL cleaned and spit polished.

What a Bummer. Sure you can't block em on e-mail or put em in your junk folder.

I've been looking for a way to block them... I'm open for suggestions from ebay experts.

I have to wonder if this is kind of sales approach is the vanguard of change? Are coin dealers going to start turning circulated common date coins and polish them to look pretty?

I know a permanent block would be nice, but you can exclude sellers with the CCF eBay Coin Search Engine.

You can also exclude them using ebay's advanced search and then save the search for future use.

They look horrible and I just can't imagine them selling many except to the unsuspecting.
Almost looks like they polish them like the guy does in that YouTube video with the Kennedy half dollars.
