Looks like EF detail and it would have been a very nice type coin if not for that little problem. Without the hole it probably would have sold for $75 or more; I would value it at no more than $25 as is. You might list it on ebay and see what happens; maybe it will yield more than I think it's worth.

Unless you want to use it as jewelry I'd get rid of it and look for a no-problem replacement.

Man, that hole is just a crying shame! I'd say it has somewhere around VF30 details with really nice original surfaces. Without the hole, I'd say it would have been worth somewhere around $60-$80 or so. With the hole... I dunno, it really kills the value.

I have a friend that put together a holed type set. This would have fit right in that collection.

I've seen these offered at coin shows in similar conditions for under $20.00 and not any takers either. Shame it happened to such a nice coin.

High VF details. I'd pay around 15-20$ for it, but nothing more.

Three figures on ebay without the hole but there are collectors of holed coins. I myself have an entire holed flying eagle/Indian head collection sans the 1877 of course. I'll probably never come across one lol. Slap it on ebay, you never know when a couple bidders will do battle.
