A nice 1893-CC in a PCGS holder. It is not my coin, although I know its prior owner.

Beautiful --- would like to see the reverse. I'd have to say MS-64.

Oh, hello.
I'm torn. It has a good argument for 65, but near as I can tell PCGS only has 10 of those. I'll call it 64 but wouldn't be shocked if this is one of that 10.

I think the little ticks on the cheek probably keep it at MS64, sure has enough luter to make an MS65 in a common date though.

MS-65, it has really nice luster and the lack of marks and as a result, I believe that it has the eye appeal to get it to a 65

the photo I provided was of a PCGS MS-65PL, pedigree Jack Lee. This same coin is up for sale in Vegas next week in a PCGS MS-66 holder (note the PL has been dropped). Still pedigreed to Jack Lee. I'm wondering if this chicanery (dropping the PL) is meant to fool buyers into thinking this coin was a 66 all along. It's a great coin- but is it a 66 out of getting it right or out of greed on the part of the seller? My guess is that this coin sells for $150K and then gets sent in again to regain the PL.

It has all the trademarks of a Jack Lee coin.

I knew this was a 65, but I was going to say 66, but I believe there is too much of a gap between MS64, and MS65, there are so many 64s with bag marks and then you get this coin which I think with just going off the obverse should be a 66 min.
