Hello! I've been holding on to this guy for quite a while suspecting that it's not a genuine DDO, but the doubling is so severe on the motto "In God We Trust" that I'm curious.. I can't detect much of any doubling elsewhere on the coin to be honest; I can post another picture of the entire obverse if needed. So, is this a DDO?

I can't see any doubling. Clearer photos are needed.

Sorry- I know it's hard to get good pics.

I edited the original post with the actual photo. Before I had tried experimenting with the website's built-in photo editor because it wouldn't accept a 50mb picture.

The extra large image helped a lot. There is actually two things going on with your coin:
It isn't a doubled die though.
1. The coin is in the LDS/VLDS die state. When the die starts to wear the devices that face the rim are affected first. The "I" on IN show the width of that device enlarging toward the rim. But another clue is the die flow in the field around the devices. Like a bad road these line appear rougher as the die ages. Because die wear is usually towards the rim the areas on the other devices had me thinking. Then the extra large image helped.
2. Machine Doubling. The areas in question to the east are flat shelf like Machine Doubling. Thanks for posting the largest image. It help to ID your coin.
