Poll Question
I hate getting these because I have a hard time spending them, and it gets expensive FAST if you keep them all. This one shows a little circulation, but there are no major creases. There are 2 small stamps on the back however. What would you do with it?

I would spent it, unless you could sell it for a premium. There are too many things that can be bought with $100.

I just pulled one a little better shape than this one myself. You know that the $100.00 bill is the most common bill in the population by more than 80% out of all the bills out there? Sounds like the 1% ers have way too much cash on hand right now, because I can't seem to keep these things around very long. I'll float mine on ebay at face value plus shipping on a 3 day auction and see what happens, though the last two tries with $20.00s for face value starting prices did not sell. http://www.theatlantic.com/business...-why/265518/80%+ of all bills in circulation are $100's let that sink in. Open your wallet do you have 80% of your bills in $100? Yes most of these are held out of the USA. Interesting? - Troubling, I say.

I agree. If I ever need to cash in something because I come up short, my $100 bills are the first to go.

I am about to bring a bunch of these to the bank. I love them, but no one really pays more than face that I know of. ...so it is better to have the cash available for something else. Currently, they are just losing against inflation IMHO

I would run it on ebay a couple times and then if you are running short on money spend it. There are probably people interested in it for face on here, so if you can afford it right now, you can offer it up here on the forum. By the way, here is a sold ebay listing for $100 star notes. http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-100-Dolla...ht_23wt_1255

I'd go with Bassmaster on this one. To me that $100 is spending money a circulated 2006 that's just too recent. Now if it was pre-Clinton era then that would be different. But hey if someone wants to pay $364 for three 2006 $100 star notes. You might as well give it a shot. It's FREE money for not a whole lot of work.

As someone who's into Where's George, I'd enter it, stamp it, and then send it on its way.

Try getting two GEM sequentials! Had to tighten the belt a bit after THAT paycheck was cashed :)

Star note alone is not enough reason to save a $100 note.
I'd save a 640,000 or less run, or any special number in addition to the star (ie: radar, repeater, bookend, etc.) .

I decided to spend a beat up 1985 $100 note that I was saving and save this instead. At least until I need some more cash.

320,000 or less is my criteria for keeping anything above a $20. John1

I would rather see the beat up 1985 get spent than the star that is in better condition. Good choice baysinger!

Hi, does anyone know if there is a list somewhere on which notes are replaced with the star note bills? I ask because lately I have been getting some straps with consecutive bills and was hoping there would be an easy way of finding out if a star note is included in the 100 bills rather than search through each one.
