Just coming back to coin collecting from long absent, I bought few BU Peace silver dollars from the bullion dealer. I was wondering whether to send the Peace silver dollar for grading or not. They are common dates (1922P, 1923P, 1924P, and 1925P). From looking at PCGS photograde, they seem to range from AU58 to MS63.

Is it worth it to get them graded or leave them ungraded? I"ll post the pictures later in the day.

For those dates in those ranges there wouldnt be a financial reason to have them graded as the grading would cost about half of what the coin is worth. If you really like them and want to have them graded then its worth it. But if youre just asking if you should do it to increase the value it wouldnt be worth it
Rest in Peace

If you want slabbed Peace dollars in that condition range you must buy them already slabbed.

I guess I should look for VAM varieties in these Peace Silver Dollars.

That's the spirit. The hunt doesn't end with the purchase, it ends with the attribution.

Nothing in that group worth sending in for grading.

I don't see a profit advantage in getting common silver coins slabbed, if you don't think yourself that they are better than MS63.
You are better off posting excellent pictures of them here in the CCF, and have us grade them for you, for free! No fees and posting!

Even better if you can grade accurately yourself, or train yourself via the camarardie enjoyed by us right here, as you learn to grade, as the grading threads are posted.

Just keep a hard copy of the thread off your printer for your records, and screw encapsulate them, if you really care about preserving their condition.

Enjoy your CCF!

Thanks everyone. I'll post the better pictures for grading opinion as soon as I figure how to do that.
