Cool find from Wendy's! Must've came with a Dave's Hot and Juicy!

But I Say Maybe Fine, IMO.

i see an internal die break (most people would call it a Cud) on the tip of the 8th feather. SOME (not all) of these 1899's with this Cud have a repunched date. So, check the date under a loupe and/or post the best pic of the date you can. I could see something to the left of the top of the first 9, but am unsure.

robbudo,
Did not notice the die crack/chip on the eighth feather or the RPD. Did you click on the pic to enlarge it to see if it is an RPM? I hate to have to dig out my usb scope for a close-up

You'll probably have to clean some gunk off around the date to see it. Got some Verdi-Care ?

LIBERTY must be completely partially visible.

Nice find!

The die chip on the 8th feather is supposed to be a confirming indicator of an S-4. The variety is characterized by repunching on the '1' and top of last '9'. I'm not sure that I see it on this coin, probably due to wear and gunk.

Just a heads up everyone. There must be a least three letters from Liberty visible.

The grade is an easy G-4. Would be G-6 IF the rim was full.
