I saw this Jefferson Dansco Friday and picked it up because I thought it was a good deal Now I am not sure I want to do another Jefferson Dansco. I am very happy with the set I have. The album is 1938 to 2002, with proofs. I looked through my duplicates and added some coins and swapped out some for better grades. Now it has 149 coins and 26 empty holes. I am on the fence, as to if I should complete the set and sell it. If I sell it .. should I sell the all the coins at once, or break it up .. Or maybe just 2X2 all the coins and not worry about it. I do think it would be a good start to someone wanting to start a set. I think there is room in the binder to put the last page. Any opinions welcome. I am always curious what others do. If there were some gems in there worth a good chunk you could pull those out and sell individually other than that though I think youd be better off selling it as a whole

After completing my Whitman folder 1938-1962 from circulation I had shelved it along with many of the modern non silver sets. It is a great set for a collector with a limited budget.

It looks like there are some great coins in there! I would probably sell a few of the best separately, sell the rest as bulk, and the album separately from the rest. Not sure if you would recoup the value of the coins you would have to buy to put in it if you sold it as a completed set.

Not sure why others don't do as I do. Every time I finish a set, I start another one. I put the best in set #1, next best in set #2. Then when that one is full, I start #3. And as with the others, the best goes into #1, second best in #2. Naturally this gets to be an irritant when you get to sets #10, 11 or 12. I'm now at #12 with Mercury dimes. With Jefferson nickels, might make for a nice Christmas gift.

OR...you could shoot me a message is you want to move at least the book on. I've been looking for one of those books, and maybe some fillers for it too :-)

I like it. What is one more Dansco album to the one who has so many wonderful examples now. It looks like a good set that is now 85% complete, so I say keep it.

For a limited budget collector, it's a great starter set to complete. Not very hard to finish.
This can make a great gift. I will not pass by something like this.
I would want to complete it myself.

Okay, I've been waiting. Times up! Four years is long enough. What did you do

Wow ... very old post.
I can not remember what I did with this album.
I am in the process of moving ... 900 miles from my current location.
Half of my collection has been moved, the other half leaves this week. All of it had been packed.
I know I have over 75 Dansco's with a least two Jefferson albums.
This one might be the one I completed, took all the nickels out. Added those nickels to a big bag of nickels, and sent them to my grandson.
I don't think he has taken time from video games to sort through the bag of nickels and fill the album. Which is sad because I put a nice 20th century type set together for him. But it looks like he is not interested in coins, so I will not be sending him the type set.

I think he will be much more interested in coins once he finds out which video games you can buy with a load of them...
