Opening this topic mainly to show NathanASE some of my Morgan purchases because he was interested. I hope this is the right spot. Here is the first Nathan, more to follow later now that Fuzzy got me on the optimiser.

yes that is toning. Bizarre in my opinion. Personally I like pristine coins but they can be hard to get.

1879 S VAM 36 No idea what any of these VAMs are, haven't bothered to look them up as I understand there are HEAPS of different ones.

1883 O I've got a graded one as well which I'll post in the third party grading section where people can test their skills against the grading company.

On the 1879-S, look for a little threadlike impression at the rear of the cheek/neck intersection. It's the characteristic identifier for VAM-36.

I'm usually pretty harsh (just being honest) but these all look pretty nice to me. Nothing to really berate. Nice Morgans.

That was a really good pickup SsuperDdave because it was indeed sold to me as a VAM-36 cottie (cootie) impression. I have no idea what it is referring to and VAMWorld didn't really enlighten me. I can't see anything on the coin.
