 initially looks like gas bubbles on a zincoln. But we would like full pictures of both sides?

What are gas bubbles? and are they worth anything?

It is caused by zinc corrosion underneath the copper plating. Eventually, the plating is breached and zinc rot sets in

As far as I know, no one collects these. Yet. LOL They really look interesting when they flow over devices:  Both images are from the same coin. In the field and across the devices.

Plating blisters form during the strike - probably from contaminants on the surface of the zinc planchet prior to plating. The contaminants gas from the heat and pressure of the strike. One can see this on off center struck plated Lincolns. The struck portion will have blisters, whereas the adjacent unstruck portions will not. The unplated Lincoln shows the striations on the sheet metal, which is why I believe many blisters are linear and often parallel. But not always.
