Hello and welcome.

I wish we had better news for you on your first post, but sadly, your coin is not a genuine coin. It is a replica of an ancient Jewish silver coin, a sela from the Second Revolt period.

I do not know who made this particular replica or when, but it is not the first time we have seen one here on the forum. You can see some older threads with similar examples here and here.

I hate to tell you but the coin you have is a tourist replica. These are commonly sold as souvenirs or as 'real' coins sometimes. It is a replica of an early Jewish coin of the Bar Kokhba Rebellion.

Wow, OK. Very interesting. A bit disappointing but it's whatever. I work at a Gold/Silver/Coin buying shop. This one came in and we couldn't find anything about it in the books and I couldn't find anything like it online. Now it's solved though. Thanks a lot! Ill be sure to reference this forum if I run across any more unidentifiable coins. Thanks for the prompt ID.
