AU-corroded or 'environmental damage' in PCGS lingo.

Likely IMHO some level of details grade at PCGS

Could you explain why it is damaged? It is in a problem free PCGS slab with a green bean from CAC.

Thanks,

45?

Subpar photography can make wear look like scratches.

I don't see why it would get a details grade either. My thought is the coin is in a AU-53 holder. I think some of the weakness in the head and top of the eagle's wing is from strike. "One Dol" is not as bold as the other lettering on the reverse and that corresponds with some of the missing detail on the head. A nice coin!

I would say AU53 due to the wear on the wings leading edge and on Liberty's hair.

Really nice Type I. She's a looker!

XF45 but AU50 would be no surprise. That's a really nice Seated $1.

I'm at EF45 but any low to mid range AU grade would not surprise me.

I really do not think that PCGS would grade this coin in the AU range, bit too much wear for that.
EF45.
In the British grading system, VF.
