I had recently found this Bluebook while digging through some dusty coin books and thought you all might be interested in some of the prices of the key dates in certain series "back then." I too found this book interesting and went through every page and probably read the whole book from front to back. I also found it interesting that there was a page about cleaning coins and I'll include that in the photos as well. The front page binding is falling apart a little bit, but that just adds character in my opinion and it's proof that it's been used by someone a lot! Lincoln Cents:1909-S VDB$4.75 in VG $6.50 in VF Liberty Head "V" Nickel:1885-P$3.25 in G $6.00 in F Mercury Dimes:1916-D$1.75 in G $4.00 in F Quarter Dollars:1896-S Barber$1.25 in G $3.50 in F 1901-S Barber$6.50 in G $20.00 in F 1916 Standing Liberty$7.50 in G $20.00 in F 1932-D Washington$0.75 in VG $2.00 in VF Half Dollars:1892-O Barber Half (Not Micro)$0.55 in VG $0.75 in VF 1916-S Walking Liberty$0.55 in VG $1.00 in VF Silver Dollars1889-CC Morgan$1.00 in G $1.00 in F 1903-O Morgan$2.50 in G $4.50 in F 1921 Peace Dollar$1.00 in F $1.15 in Unc If anyone is looking for prices for a certain date I'll be glad to post it. I'll also continue to add stuff to the list, but for now this is a start.

the 1903 O Morgan dollar was the key date in the series until the Treasury Release in the mid 60's.

How much was the 1883s Morgan in ms back then?
That is cool looking back. I wonder if we will see similar trends in price jump in another 64 years.

Quote: How much was the 1883s Morgan in ms back then? Unfortunately the book only lists the Morgan dollar series in "Good" and "Fine".. Would have been great if they added an UNC column as well. The book lists the 1883-S at $1.00 for both "Good" and "Fine" examples.

Old coin books are a lot of fun. I've got a collection of the Red Book. All from 1947 to present. Kind of funny looking through that first one.

I'm little bit surprised the 1889-CC didn't carry even a small premium. Just curious, what is the 1893-S morgan listed at?
