Recently I read a post where a member asked about the size of gold coins compared to the size of current coins. I think it was asked what coin was the size of a 2 1/2 gold. I thought next time I was taking some pictures, I would try to post picture with as many different denominations as I had. Of course my photo taking ability is not the best, if others want to post a similar picture, please do. In my picture top row Half Cent, Three Cent Nickel, Two Cent and Twenty Cent. center row cent, Half Dime, nickel, dime, quarter, half dollar and dollar bottom row Three Cent Silver, one dollar, five dollar, 2 1/2 dollar, ten dollar, twenty dollar Coins I don't have three dollar and four dollar gold coins

My policy is to only go with coins that were made for circulation. So if it were me I'd be after the $3 coin BUT not the $4 coin since it's a pattern.
BTW well done on you denomination type set.

Nice pics. I think its insane that the 2 1/2 dollar is so expensive and it is the size of a dime! Speaking from personal knowlege, the quarter eagles are much smaller than they look in person.

Nice group shot! One question, where is your large cent? Sure, you have the cent, but since one could argue that the nickel replaced the half-dime...

How did I forget the large cent I remember I was looking for one, when I was setting the picture up. I hope everyone caught that the gold coins are not in order, I put the five dollar under the nickel, and he 2 1/2 under the dime ... To show the size better. Know I want to try taking the picture again....

Regardless, it is still a cool photo as is. However, if you want to make another, I will not talk you out of it.

That's a great photo. I go nuts trying to get a pic of a single coin.

My second attempt at getting a picture to show the different sizes of U.S. coins. I added a large cent and a small dollar. Also tried to capture coins that had size changes, I know I did not put a type I gold dollar .. I had put the one I had lose back into a new holder and did not want to break it out again Top row Half Cent, cent, Two Cent, 3 cent, nickel, dime, 20 cent, quarter, half dollar, dollar Bottom row one, 2 1/2, 5, 10, 20 dollar gold Top row Cent, three 3 cent nickel, nickel, dime, quarter, Half dollar, dollar Bottom row Large cent, 3 cent silver, Half Dime, med size dime, large quarter, half dollar, small dollar
