Yes. I keep them unless they are in really bad condition. Also if they are $20 or higher I rarely keep them because I can't keep that much money in limbo. You can look here for info on star notes http://www.mycurrencycollection.com...stars/lookupJohn1

John1- I just checked out that link for the site- I punched in a couple of star notes I had put aside and on there it say's ones from a run of under 640,000 are rare. I had one from a run of 64,000. Would that be a note that had an added premium?

It probably would, but it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Check ebay sold values for an idea of values. Also don't forget that condition plays a big part in value. John1

For $1 bills, I always keep them. If it's worth $2 to someone, you have doubled your money. If it's a $100 bill and you net $110 for it, you have made a 10% return.
Not saying you should keep just to sell, I just use this example to say that the small added value is enough to keep it simply because it's face value is so low.
Like others, if it's a $20 or more, it can be hard to let big bills sit around unless your made of money

You can usually sell full run stars on the wheresgeorge forum for 10-20% return, so you might as well set them aside.

I agree wholeheartedly with Broseph.........I find with lots of different coins and collctables,,,Certain ones Double other only 10 %% ,,,,,Not that I am saying to use that alone to collect by:::::,,,,,once in a while keep it in mind....good job Bro.. I think that perhaps a star note is harder to find in Canada.....perhaps...

I keep them all. If I have one that is burning a hole in my pocket, I sell it.

i only keep $1 star notes. today I saw a 2006 $100 star note, some guy was paying with it at the market. I was going to buy it but figured that it would be hard to turn a profit on it, so I let it go.
