Picked up the Dansco today and filled it with the set I purchased a couple years back. this book has everything up until 2000 in it (except proofs, which I believe I have...somewhere) I am not a big big nickel fan, so this may be as good as it gets. I will however look for a newer Dansco to put the later dates in (or at least look for the pages) Edited by mrwisker 11/12/2013 12:18 am

Can't see the pics after '64. There's a few decent coins in there, the '54-S and '55 caught my eye. At least buy a set of BU wars and throw them in there!

Nice Jefferson set.
Looks a lot like my Liberty and Indian head sets. Sometimes it is fun to just fill in all the empty holes.

Pictures fixed, not sure what happened there. I snagged up the set up till 64 a few years ago and wanted them in a Dansco. I am considering upgrading a few along the way if I can find them nice and reasonable. most of what I have now came in collections I bought over the last few years. there are a few that will get an upgrade right away, as I found some BU's in a box. I purchased a huge lot at face value back then and have most of the 70's 80's and 90's proofs as well as some earlier proofs. I need to get a dansco that takes me beyond y2k (for that matter past 1981) I am, however, mulling over the possibility of actively searching upgrades for the War Nickels. (I have right around 2 rolls of them that might wind up on the trade block)

Nice set I recently completed a set of Jeffersons from 1938-1964 and it was pretty fun. Mine is in an old Whitman album.

Very nice! You Jefferson nickel album is older than mine, which has labeled dates to 1986.

The first half of the set was in an old whitman dated only till 64 I pulled it out and put it in the dansco. I also had just enough in my flip push in books to refill the old whitman back up, minus 46s and 55d. I also think I found all the proofs to fill in the back half to y2k. Chances are that the second book will be offered up for trade or sold at the flea market.

That's a really cool set.
You almost never see a set of these that was assembled from circulation ten years ago. No doubt many of the older ones were purchased but it's still a very unusual collection.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

Very nice collection. My 1938-1961 set is only missing the 1939 D. I hope one day I might find one in change.

Well...set is just about complete up to and including 2000 P-D-S Missing 95 and 97 proofs second set from 38-64 is missing 39D 46S and 55D I have a few upgrades to throw in, and if the mood strikes me and I find them, others will follow.
not too bad for buying the core set complete and then a collection at face.
Kinda ironic if you think about it... The coin I like the least is the set(s) that I have the most complete. But it does feel good to have an almost full and complete book / collection

I said previously that I would upgrade as I found them at a price I liked picked up 42p War Nickels this weekend. I think for 4.00, they were worth the upgrade.
