Don't see much on the reverse, though.

Could be shill action, but I didn't check the bidder deets.

If that's repaired, it's fooling me. The nose looks a little funny, though.

File this under reasons why I don't collect EAC.

Looks like a major discoloration/repair cut-out done on the obverse that is rectangular in shape and encompasses the "Y" in LIBERTY that goes from 1:30 to 2:30.

There is also what appears to be a faint circular area through the bottom serif of the C and left foot of the A. I also think the highest wave of the hair has been worked on some because it's position below the R is wrong for S-158 and that is what this coin is.

The rim bothers me but without seeing the edge I can't tell if that's the problem or not.
BUT
Since the seller doesn't appear to be hiding anything AND admits to it being repaired I would definitely believe him.
Nice coin; go for it if you're willing to accept a DETAILS coin.

Liberty's nose does not look right. Could that be where the repair is?

Might have had scratches that were removed from the surface then recolored. If it was a plug job the guy that did it was an artist as he would have had to put all the parts of the missing lettering back on the reverse. I have seen that done but it usually is easily seen.

For a details coin, this one is a beauty.

I don't think it was a complete hole through the coin, looks more like surface damage on both sides, the nose and top of liberty's hair is suspect, and the discolored spot on the reverse may have had some work done to it. Very well done repair job however.
