@ dave;

This is probably going to be a keeper. I like toned Morgan dollars alot, and I personally would prefer a nice toned example over the plain jane silver edition. To me, it seems to add that rustic quality of old age.

This 1881-CC is a close #2/3/4 to my favorite Morgan.Its a combination of appeal, rarity and a CC Dollar. Thats hard to beat.

This is me favorite so far. Its a NGC MS66 or 67 - I forget which. Looks like some one created it via a paint brush.

I'm with you on toned Morgans. Blast white is alright but tone stands alone.

Me too... I like, and will choose original toners over a blast white coin every day of the week...

And I also like Morgan's more than any other coins, and also especially CC's. The only thing better than a toned CC is a DMPL toned CC . I have a stunning DMPL ANACS '83CC toner and its definitely one of my favorite coins I own.. I could never get sick of looking at it! Not as rare of a date as yours but a beauty none the less..

Since the picture is magnified, I think you have a good shot at a 65.

That statement is true, This coin is a lock MS64 at minimum. MS65 on a good day for you, eye appeal is fantastic.
