Here is my '31...

Unfortunately I don't have a '32 it's one of MANY gaps for the 50 cent collection...

I also have a question... can anyone direct me to a web page or some information that tells me why 50 cent pieces weren't used in some years... would like to know why there are gaps for certain dates.

AgCoinAu asked:

In 1917-19 there were some 2.7 million fify cent coins minted. This was in excess of normal commercial demand, and appears to be done for an expanded First World War economy. After the end of the war, the economy contracted, and the demand for coinage was low. The Mint only issues coins in response to demand from the banks. In the early 1920's, the Mint had large stocks of unissued 1920's and 1921's (see page 184 of the 2014 Charlton). Therefore, it was very cautious in minting 50 cents only when it anticipated demand from the banks.
