@ pacific..... Read the notes above your post.... All 4 services it went to had different opinions... As SPP will tell you the coin is real.... Perhaps it is altered date but it has been in the family since the late 20's...... doesn't much matter to me because its in my collection and it looks great.. ps.. so which of the 3 in the pic is not real as you say

Like all important collectables.....Provenance carries a lot of weight when trying to authenticate an important piece.
artdio says that his family has had that 21 from the late 20's...
"For the doubters" ...Is there a "type of scientific scan" or finely detailed x-ray or whatever out there,.. that could shed some light on this coin?
Would a super blow-up of the date help?

@ Devlec, thanks The 29 is a nice one.. As for the 21 to me it dont really matter.. It is what it is and it will forever remain in my set to look at... your idea of a machine would be nice Hummmmm great thought

Thanks Shafta , I also had 3 complete sets at 1 time but no longer... Sooner or later you will probably do as I done..sell some off for a better piece and crate your best of the best set.. SOOOOOO much fun ..... let me know if I can ever help out .. I have been listing several nice key dates over the last few months including a couple beauties today
