This is the third time I've seen you post this, unless someone else is also trading no date buffaloes for Seated halves. What does this guy want with thousands and thousands of no date buffaloes anyway?

Weerdsteev, very nice trade! @Jgetting, we ran into a guy selling a huge number at the Chicago Show. He more than tripled his money selling. He said the buyer was from AZ and sells the coins to the Native Americans who then make jewelry and or art work and they sell them to the tourist. A profit for all.

The guy I'm trading with is simply accumulating them for reasons of his own. He's not moving them out through any other channel, or so he says, anyway. He's shown me photos of his "man cave" and sure enough, he's got them stacked everywhere. His house will NOT blow away in your average windstorm, of that I'm sure! Every nickel I have ever sent him has been from the Philly mint, and way back at the very beginning of this adventure I was trading him no date Phillies for his no date D and S mints at a 4 to 1 ratio. When I began to get overloaded on D and S mints (and there was a time when I didn't think THAT was possible) I told him I was going to have to scale back, and that was when he proposed the nickels for Seated halves idea. Perhaps he's trying to get into the Guinness book of world records or intends to machine them into bullets for some future apocalypse. Whatever. I'm happy to be along for the ride. And by the way, lest anyone think I'm sitting on my own mountain of no date Phillies that I use for trade...nah. I simply have a friend who also happens to be a great source for acquiring them on my behalf as they are needed.

OK, I know this isn't what your friend is doing, but here's another option for lots of dateless Buffs:
I used to know a guy who fixed up antique slot machines to sell to collectors. He would fill them with appropriate coins (Buffs for the nickel slots, Mercs for the dimes).

That 1859 is rather a score, WB-102, the rarer of the two for that year. About 1/3 of production. Maybe AU50 depending on remaining luster and a $200+ coin on its' own even at XF.

Great trade. Those coins make a great addition. Although I can't imagine what someone would do with that many dateless buffalo nicks..
