I went into my LCS today mainly to chat and grab some dip. While chatting, I looked down into the case he keeps the slabbed Ikes in and this one screamed BY ME! So I did. This should make Jbuck drool.

It is dangerous to just browse Ikes. I always end up purchasing at least one of them. Very nice addition.

Merc Man, exactly! LOL At least when I browse the Morgan/Peace/Seated etc case, its mostly too expensive for spur of the moment. LOL

As the owner said, that one is a screamer.

Ike are highly underrated in my opinion. Once you have 1 you just want more and more.

Deep Cameo Ike's are really something to behold. Man, I wish they could have continued it like they have the Kennedy half- just for collectors in annual sets.

They made circulation issues out of a copper/nickel content. They made clad proofs from 1973-1978 and the 40% silver ones were made in both proof (called brown Ikes) and BU (called Blue Ikes) The one that smokeriderdon purchased is known as a brown Ike. These were made from 1971-1974.

Hope this helps.

I won this "absolutely perfect" one last month:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-S-Eise...p=true&rt=nc

Paid only $11.50 for it and it sure is ugly, lots of milky discoloration and still a PF68.
