Just looking for recommendations of a good book/folder to put my Canadian cents in. I have a good bit I have found through coin roll hunting. They are circulated so I am not looking for anything overly expensive to store them in. Just thought it would be fun to see how many I have for a set and to know which ones I would still need. 2x2's and put them in a 3 ring binder.  BTW, DBM, congrats on 5 years!  |

2X2's and 3 ring binder pages gives you the most flexibility on how you label and organize them. Particularly if you have multiple varieties for a particular year.

I would say it depends on how much you're willing to spend.. how you like them to look and of course how many pennies you have.
I recently have been putting my pennies into binders using 88 pocket pages. They're not the best (apparently there's a pretty good chance the pages contain PVC) but I wanted to organize and view all of these coins I have picked up (approx 4500 of 'em between 1920 & 1952)
The end goal is to look for anything interesting then put these coins into date sets.
If your coins are just average in condition I would recommend a book or something with pages in it that way when you find a better example you can easily swap it out. If the coins are in really good condition I would recommend the 2x2 & binder route..

I keep many of my ungraded coins in Dansco coin stock albums (blank pages with 12 pockets for 2 x2's on each page). If you use a Dansco, or many other coin pages, make sure you use a 2 x 2 or a mylar flip (I use these), then put the flip in the pocket. Many coin pages contain PVC, so the flip protects them and keeps them snug in the pocket.

2x2 in a 3 ring binder is the best way by far.....fairly inexpensive, plus you can change it anytime, write on the flips.....plus its not 100% guaranteed that the other methods are free from PVC and chemicals that could ruin your collection. 2x2 flips are free of them. Also the pre-made binders don't have every type and variety and what not.....trust me I used to buy the fancy pre-made things and I changed all of them to 2x2 flips in a 3 ring binder......way better..you can take them out and look at them without touching them.....

I like Gardmaster. You can make a template and customize in word for the sheet that sits behind the holders.
