Hi folks! Believe me, I`m skeptical too, but there it is,a dot.,just beside the nine, somebody tell me this is forged or faked, and if so, HOW? its so small,I don`t even think a brain surgeon could do it,also, if one was to pull a fake, shouldn`t they have put the dot in the right place?! Well, it sure looks like a legit dot to me, anyway,I know it`s in the wrong place, but, in the right vicinity . any comments would be welcome, THANKS!

Its not the 1936 Dot that you are thinking it is. The expensive one would have a dot below and between the 9 and 3.

Well, I know I didn`t strike it rich, and any collector worth his salt knows what the original 1936 with dot looks like, but still,I thought..well, what exactly are we looking at, and would it be worth my while to post on ebay? Thanks!?

Its a bit hard for me to tell from the photos but if its a part of the coin than it is either a die chip or pit.

It is a 1936, and it does have a dot. A cool keeper.

, that's a nice find, and with a dot that big would get a slight premium.

Thanks, I use a Canon 12.1 mega pixels Camara with and without a loop! As for the coin, well, I want to sell, but I have no clue what to put it at, I wonder what ICGS would say?

I DONT think ICCS would comment on it, CCCS would if you asked but certification is probably more than you'd get for the coin.

LOL, its a cool keeper, I think its quite unusual, and I`m also wondering,if anybody has heard of ,or seen pics of legit dots on 1936 pennies that are NOT in the right place. I actually have seen a listing somewhere, a long long time ago!maybe a trade some time in the near future, thanks again for you valuable input!

I don't think sceptical is right state of mind. Militant "atheist" should be the prevailing opinion.
