Oh the craziness of fools and their money. There are a lot better coins to spend your money on other than a planchet error! A low grade 1921 half is a much wiser "waste " of money! IMHO

So were the first 2 auctions not for real?....or was this one ignored?.....or did we just run out of buyers?...

If I'm not mistaken I was the first person to sell one as an auction on ebay.
I am quite happy with the price it fetched and I have no regrets selling it for $3200
Recent very well advertised prices higher will not hold but will make people look, and find.

I could very well be mistaken about previous ebay auctions. I was only aware of two buy it now listings pre Nov. 2012.

The recent high prices will lead to more people looking, and finding. You can be sure of that.

(I found one in the first set I checked.)

Kaboom indeed! You guys always make me smile.
I've checked for more since with no success.
I included the remaining coins and package to the new owner when I sold it.

For something that is suppose to be incredibly rare, there sure are a lot of them being sold at auction.
