Moe - that's a beauty and I love the die cracks. I think I see some die clashes on the obverse near star 1.

My guess is O-107a Rarity 1 the shattered die variety. The die marriage is Obverse 5-s2 and Reverse F-s2.

I have found many Bust Halves that show a weakness on the eagles head and feathers of the left wing (eagles right). I believe the wing is actually worn more here because of the localized higher relief on this portion of the wing. Conversely, I also believe the eagles head is weak due to metal flow and/or striking pressure robbed from the head area due to the wing area. Other factors such as planchet variations, either in thickness or overall weight, and die spacing could be at play also.
