That truly is a lovely coin!

I like the "guess what the TPG's graded the coin game".
Sooo...I will guess AU58. Looks like an NGC holder.
Disclaimer: I am no pro at grading these.

"Unfortunately is in a coffin"

Funny how much the Europeans hate slabs... I get this, you want to hold the piece in your hand, etc... but the overt hatred/resistance towards slabbing only flies in a perfect, honest world. In the ACTUAL world we live in (right Mat, as you've seen from your dealings with you new buddy from the other thread?)... MANY people are either too clueless to know how to spot problems, willfully ignorant, or they simply lie. Even dealing with some of the Spanish auction houses, they often don't seem to know how to type the word "limpiada" when even with the overexposed photography, it's obvious just from the photo.

Certification, if done properly, takes that variable out of the equation. It doesn't have to be for everyone, but it has its place.

Anyway, solid detail on the piece... even strike, no prominent hits/marks. Any sign of an old cleaning on the pillars side, or does it appear a bit bright just because of the lighting in the photo?
