Quote: Found another silver this morning. 1959 Japan 100 Sen I like this! When it was minted, the war was still a somewhat recent memory, but starting to fade. Perhaps a childhood memory for a young adult. Consider the person spending this coin, ponder what they were thinking, or what they were buying that day.

I think the scratches on the Canada 25 cents say "Make this a pocket piece, we will go away. Eventually." How deep are they? Overall, nice group!

Jbuck they are not very deep. If I cleaned it you could still probably see them though. Mr click, it is quite the honey hole. I also search through everything through that swap meet that looks like it might have coins in it.

I would not clean it. If you use it as a pocket piece the scratches may wear away with time, but so will some of the other details. Ask yourself which is better for you, a higher grade with scratches, or lower grade with no scratches, then make your choice.

Couple cool finds today 1941 Mercury dime1958 netherlands 1 gulden there was another guy out there that had a couple pesos from the 40s but was asking way to much for them. And he was trying to tell me they were 99.9% silver. I tried to explain to him what the ley .720 meant on the coin but he wasn't having it so I just passed on them. Some people just want to stay ignorant I guess.

Had a pretty nice haul today. Scored about 30 coins for 14 dollars. I don't have pics of all of them uploaded yet but here is the best of today's haul. 1957 Jersey 1/12 shilling proof This coin has some amazing toning but doesn't come through in the pics. 1916 (star) France 10 centimes 1958 Ghana 1 and 2 shillings proof Again, crazy toning on these coins as well. I'll have more pics uploaded soon. I also got a 1898H canada 1 Cent that I posted over in the Canadian grading section. Thanks for looking! :)
