This is awesome. A lot of good finds I'm jealous of. Even some silver under spot!

Do you only look for foreign coins? I've noticed most of these coins are foreign. Find any US 90% ever?

It's mostly foreign that shows up at the swap meet but every once In awhile I'll find some u.s. Most recently It's just been the ones I've posted, a Kennedy half, a holed Seated Liberty quarter and a merc. There are a couple people who have u.s. but ask way to much for them. Usually 25 dollars for common circulated walkers and 40-50 for common circulated morgans/ Peace dollars.

Quote: There are a couple people who have u.s. but ask way to much for them. So true. I think the best deals are with the foreign coins. Most sellers do not really know what they have, nor do they give much value to them in the first place. I really want to expand my dark side collection. I see so much opportunity at the coin shows, big boxes with something like $0.25 each on it. Really tempting. However, I need/want to finish my last three US albums first. Have to focus.

It's amazing what kind of profit you can make just by doing a little research, especially with foreign coins. You start to get an idea of when they were silver for each country or what the rare dates are. It's a lot of stuff to remember but I've slowly been getting better. I wouldn't be surprised by the time I'm 80 if I could rewrite the Krause catalogs by memory.
I find the dealers with the u.s. coins are the ones that do not know what they have out at my spot. Like I stated before they are always way over priced. But I'm waiting for that day when one of them has an 1893 S I'll buy for 50 bucks while they think they are the ones getting the deal.

Very nice old coppers there - the French and Italian ones are common and cheap, but the rest are very good-looking and the Chinese one is definitely a real find: looks like a Republican 10 cash from 1920: http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces27095.htmlWhat's most interesting is how the Canadian large cent and the Chinese 10 cash have nearly the exact same wreaths on them!
