I truly enjoyed the PAN coin show a week ago, and I came home with this coin, simply because I fell in love with it. I don't collect gold - but sometimes a coin speaks to you. Would you care to guess the grade NGC gave it, and CAC concurred with?   |

I'd go VF35 unless there's some luster left that's not showing, then it has a shot at 40. I'd like it better as a 35. This one saw some use over the years.

You guys are good! I think my photography gives it less life than in hand. The CAC-approved PCGS grade is XF40.
Thanks for your comments. I am afraid that I like this coin so well that I'm contemplating some kind of collection of well-circulated gold!

You can do well price wise on circulated gold and grab some early year issues
