I always ask my coin dealer if he thinks a coin is artificially toned and/or cleaned. After filtering through about ten pennies which he told me were probably cleaned we came up with this one which he thinks is not. What do you think? Also what would you grade it? The first photo shows the color as a bit more dramatic then it appears in person. The coin is mostly a brown color with a bit of toning. *** Edited by Staff to remove YELLING from the subject ***Edited by Jon Brand 05/28/2014 5:11 pm

I would say MS62BN. I don't think it's cleaned although AT is definitely possibly although there aren't any strong signs of it.

AU-58. May pull a low MS, like a 62.

I think this one was dipped a long long time ago. Looks to have an un-natural "sheen". Maybe they drop it down a grade due to that, but all in all its a pretty good example. UNC details is what I would put on it. If it grades cleanly, I dont see it going higher than MS62BN.

Thanks for the comments. I really aught to start sending coins for grading. Never have before.
