beauty of a coin
I want to say AU53 and a push to 55 depending on how they discern strike issues from light wear on the high points.
i wish I had that quarter...

I agree with 53-55. Nice eye appeal.

Beauty, that tone is sublime I think it's an AU-55 all day.

I love dark toning but after seeing this coin, maybe not as much in AU. The detail is superb though. If the luster is too hidden I'd guess 50-53

It grades AU 58 IMO.
It is a fantastic bust quarter.
What will ANACS decide? The opinions TPGs often mystify me.

I'll be the dissenter here - I think it grades a low end MS 61/62 range from ANACS, but we'll see, a real nice coin John!

Very nice looking piece that could go AU55/58 if rubs are present or could easily be a MS63 without any luster breaks. I would expect a MS61 or 62 grade even if it's technically a slider because the eye appeal is very good.

I know nothing about these so I hopefully you will help me out: can you tell me why you are in the AU range? I would have most likely hedged at AU58 but thought MS'ish. Thank you for your support (Really looking forward to be schooled here! ) Johnny, beautiful coin!

I'm gonna step out and say this is an MS coin and I'm going with 63. Don't mind the color at all. Very nice

thanks for all the gleaming opinions on the coins. It has very nice detail, but frankly, I just don't think it has enough luster to go past 53 or so. It has some muted luster in the protected areas. It may have more if the toning wasn't so dark and thick. I guess we will see what ANACS says....I should have the grade emailed to me by the end of this week. :-)

Nice one John. I'm also going AU53 on this one. There is obverse wear on the high points it looks like.
