Looking at my avatar, this will be a big "duh!" but I've really become fascinated with "cap & rays" in the 8 reales denomination (my general interest being crown sized silver coins to begin with). Unlike Morgans, where if you have enough money to throw at them, you can complete a set, it's virtually impossible with these "Mexican dollars" especially in AU or higher grade.

Looking at my avatar you can tell too. Seated coinage for sure! And Queen Victoria-Era Canadian Coinage.

I don't really have a favorite, just circulated coins of all types.
I did get on a UK penny kick about 10 years ago and bought a bunch very cheaply.

UK bronze pennies of 1860-1970 were my first love and are probably still my favourite! But it's very hard to choose! Morgan dollars are definitely my favourite US coins, and my favourite 'foreign' coin denomination is probably the French franc, which went through lots of changes but was recognisably still the same coin for 200 years until it was killed off by the Euro... and I do like getting all the different 2-euro commemoratives in change on holiday now!

My avatar says it all! but I also like most error/varieties and all early American coppers. VAMs used to be my main interest, I guess I switched when they became a mainstream collecting interest. I still keep an eye out for certain VAMs though, there is some big money to made if one finds the right coin in a cherry pick.

My interests are early copper 1672--- and hammered pre 14C. I also look out for French pre 1850 and love pre revoloution. I'm also a type collector and anything that takes my eye is prey.
