In need of some help with this coin I got yesterday. Please take a look and let me know what the grade might be and if it could be considered a monster or not.

It's really hard to photo the reverse of this coin to get the colors to come out right. I tried a couple of times and still can't get it right

AU details, not market acceptable toning, so questionable color.
In other words, AT.

Jmb78blue! At first glance I'm inclined to believe this Morgan is artificially toned. But I can't say positively. Natural toning just doesn't have that look often. If it's real then yes it would be considered one of the "monster" toned coins. Toning, when natural always follows the rainbow pattern in the same order. There will also be breaks and pulling away at areas that are struck up, toning usually does not get into crevices with the same color, this one is very deceiving if it is an AT coin. If real natural toning then it's a big + for the price. The more I look at it the more I think it might be good! I've looked at tens of thousand Morgan dollars over the years, and I'm torn, let's wait for more of the experts to show up and voice an opinion. If the consensus is natural, then this coin needs to be in a TPG if only to help protect it. Where did you get the coin from? That may be telling in itself.

Sorry about the missed spelled words. I am on my phone and auto correct keeps changing what I am writing.
If you look at the "twilight" coin from that website. My coin kinda of matches the color pattern. I still have the envelope that this coin has been stored in for many years

I assume it was the envelope that toned it.
It does, however, look like a high-grade Morgan. I can't see any scuffs on the obverse, which is the most important part in Morgan grading. Maybe a submission to PCGS will help.

If those colors are true to the pics, it will never make it into a PCGS problem free slab.
