Ok, so after about a week, I received my Barber halves. But there was one "problem" with them.

The 1901 Philly I bought turned out to be a 1901 San Francisco.

So did I finally score? And what grade.

AG-3 due to the wear-through on the reverse rim...it has a nice G-4 obverse for the solid rims.

I agree it's an AG3 too bad it wasn't the 1901-S Barber quarter, now that would've been the score!

Yeah, a 1901-S Quarter would've be nice! Seems like a decent deal anyways.

Eh, not that great a deal, cull Barber halves, even better dates, aren't worth much. Here's a similar one on ebay, and before anybody points out the reverse scratch, allow me to point out the fairly bad rim bump the OP's coin has on the left.

@chasingtailbar - I'm not sure I see your point. The coin in the auction you mentioned ended up at a price 28% higher than the OP's coin.

28% is definitely enough to make the difference between a good deal and a bad one.

In general - as melt is ~7.7$, paying a buck or two extra for a better date AG Barber is a good deal in my book, while paying twice that premium is just "OK deal".

My point is that two or three bucks doesn't qualify as a "score" to me.

This may be, but I think our versions of "score" are different.
A score to me is a good deal, not looking for like a million dollar outcome, but just a good deal that I ended up getting.
Now, I may be inexperienced in the coin buying business bc I'm 13, but I have to say that I enjoy my coins as much as anyone on here.
