They had some dollar-day sales at the local market today, so I went to the bank and got $20 in halves.
I sat in the car and opened the rolls and found nothing of interest so off to the store I went...
I got noodle-&-rice-A-roni, mac & cheese, chips, etc... adding it all up I came to $12. (actually $11.88
which kind of threw me off... one of the chips was listed as $2 but charged at 1.88
)
So I started pulling half's out of my pocket, the bagger said "Wow I have one of those but never see them" I told her and the cashier, 'just ask at your bank'
I actually never like the idea of putting it into circulation I always hope someone says WOW I haven't seen one of those in a while... and keeps it so the bank has to get more and hopefully increase my chances of getting silver from a new batch
Edit:
I had a cashier that thought the half was 25 cents... now if I had not handed her a quarter with it I could understand... but a quarter and a half IN HAND and she thinks they are the same
