Picked up a nice 43 with a fairly heavy obverse clash, usually the marks are not this strong and this is the first one I've seen with the bottom of the unicorn's staff showing at the king's mouth. No clashes at the crown or back of the head, but the maple clash under the chin and the unicorn's hoof at the bridge of the nose are strong. Also a bit of Die Deterioration in the denticles on the reverse. And a crack thu the 3. Out of the junk silver bin I got a couple nice cracks And a 52 double HP with a crack through the 2 and what looks like a small Cud on the obverse bottom.

@ persistnt - like most minor varieties, there is not much premium for die cracks or clashes, but I collect them for the variety and the history behind them, mainly during the war years they used the dies until they were starting to crack or had clashes, pulled them out of use, then later refurbished them and reused them. If you are looking for perfect specimens, these certainly aren't. @ dollarman - IMHO, I believe it has both, but I was wrong once before (on oct.4/ 1991) @ wert - have you noticed the different style of A in CANADA on nickels 2008 < / > 2009 ?

The Obverse Die Clashes above are the strongest I've seen on a 1943.... Nice Find.

I'm still looking... coin show in Paris, Ontario coming up next month, maybe find QE2 Clashes there. It's a nice day trip in the countryside and we stop for a pub lunch on the way home.

If you're looking for a 1961 clash, I have one to trade. I'd trade it for another 50 cents die clash I don't have.

I have a number of George VI die clashes I can trade, but no QE2 die clashes. What do you need.

Hi Mysterious_dr_x
Looked through my duplicates and the only one I have that might be of interest to you is a 1940. Too bad because I just down-sized my spare varieties inventory. What make this die unique (have a couple more coins with same evidence with a die crack as marker) is that is appears that the Mint folks were reworking coins to remove Die Clash Marks in that year and you can see evidence of the rework, leaving just a small residual clash mark in the crown. If you are interested, let me know.

pg - Thanks for the Zoell #s, marked them on the 2x2s.
dr X - you have a 47 die clash , that's neat, haven't seen one of those yet.

Here's what I picked up this weekend (for melt price). Looks like a minor clip, but no Blakeley effect( maybe because it's such a small clip), so could be PMD, what are your thoughts.
