But then maybe you could just keep the reverse face up instead of flipping it like you normally have to.

If you are talking about the coin being rotated, coins aren't locked in place and can rotate with handling and transportation. Some of the holders (ie rattlers) can be shaken to rotate the coin.

It's pretty easy to get a coin turned around in the holder. What I do is place a washcloth or something soft, but not too thick on a hard surface. Then, tap the slab on the bottom left corner and keep tapping it. The coin will rotate. Works like a charm.

 or try putting an electric toothbrush to one side of the holder, the coin will move, believe me it works.
