I don't see to much luster, but the lighting doesn't look the best. Apparently it's a nice coin! This is the wonders of Mercury dimes! Get a spectacular coin, an MS-68, for under $300.

It is an old fatty NGC holder. With a CAC green bean.

jimbucks, go to the NGC website and verify the number on the holder and see what the site says... That is clearly not the right coin for that holder. Look closely at the slab where it is sealed together. Does it look in anyway to have been tampered with?

I think it's just the angle of the photograph... at a glance it looks like '26, but I can see '39. It would be a lovely coin to get to see in person, I bet.

Poor photos. Will refrain from judging.

Short answer, no. Not from the photos anyway.
I just don't get CAC. Aren't they meant to be for especially nice coins? Well that one seems to have splotchy, uneven toning which to me has no 'eye appeal' at all.
Sorry. But you did ask.

No disrespect intended ... The photographs you posted in no way justify an MS68/CAC coin. I see a splotchy toned coin which I am unable to make out the date. Better photos of this supposed lovely Mercury dime are indeed needed. David

It's a 1939 D.
Something don't seem right... is this a Chinese fake? The CAC sticker shouldn't be dull.

I looked it up in the NGC Certification Verification and it came up with 1939-D MS-68 Mercury dime. It is a real slab.
