The only way would be to angle it a certain way in certain light.

It's definitely an Indian Head cent, but that's all I can identify.

I'll stick my neck out a little and say the reverse is a "bold N" type, so I would say no on 1877--sorry.

From what little traces I can see of AMERICA it also looks like a type II obv hub.

Can you do more angled shots ? Sometimes glare on a pic will bring out detail too.

I'm not sure if it is a bold 'N' reverse. If it is, it could not be an 1877 unless it is a proof.

It can be whatever date you want it to be in that condition IMO. Date and value aside, your coin has seen many places, people, and things across an entire century at least. Thats pretty cool on its own!
