111430364905 It's not stamped with "copy" and the seller also doesn't give any indication it's not the real thing. There is also an "1861-O" Seated dollar with a Morgan reverse, also no "copy" stamp and seller doesn't give indication of it being fake in his listing: 111430373396

And the 1804 comes with a $200 "Buy It Now" option!
Eleven bids. That's amazing.

The seller has at least two feedback about selling counterfeits. If the person who is buying knows it's a counterfeit, I don't think it'll go up for that much unless he's just desperate to find a fake 1804 dollar. 8 of the bids are from the same person. Good thing no one's bid on the second one. Unfortunately I'm not an ebay member, so I can't report it by myself.

Yes, my friend, the market is flooded with fakes. Just do a search on the coins of Puerto Rico and you will see a lot of counterfeits without the word copy.

I messaged him and said if he wants to sell fakes he needs to put it in the title or description.

He'll probably ignore you, he ignored the feedback complaints about the fakes.

I disagree. Check out the wiki page. One of the known specimens IS owned by Yogi Bear. Let's not downplay the importance of retired cartoon characters in numismatics. Recall that the 1913 V nickel was just recently purchased by Quickdraw McGraw. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1804_silver_dollar

I have a fake 1804 silver dollar. (big deal) A better fake than this one. I found it in a dealers's junk box. It cost me five bucks, and I probably paid too much for it
Philosophically, it was the only way I was ever likely to obtain an 1804 silver dollar.

Actually, mine one of only 15 known: Can you believe that ?

I messaged him a few days ago to let him know it was fake. He clearly knows, but had a story about how he inherited the coins and they were authenticated by the local gold/silver buyer. Reported to ebay.
