I have a 1973 Washington quarter that I want a lil help with. It just doesn't look quite right, feels odd as far as the weight and the edge is smooth with no ridges. The font is a bit bigger than normal and a little more blocked. Could it be a counterfeit?

Note the sand texture in the planchet.

You wrote that the front (obverse) is a bit bigger than normal. Is the reverse the normal size?

to CCF fellow Michigander. We need pics. Kinda sounds like a Dryer Coin or a slot machine coin but need good photos to know for sure.

Nope no luck. I tried. And I have a Flickr account. If there is a way to look me up you can do that and look at it. But I can't figure this thing out

This seems odd to me. I've been unable to upload a photo but I never got the icon that appears in your posts.

So...hmmmmm

Does your file name end in .jpg? Have you used the image optimizer and used 'save as' to rename the file?
