Scott ... to the CCF.

I believe you will be told from the experts (on their way) ... this is machine Strike Doubling and not an error.

Nice photos BTW ... hopeful that you stick around and contribute more examples.

I agree with nickelsearcher, it's still a pretty major example of MD, but MD nonetheless.

you can help identify MD versus a Doubled die by trying to look at the non doubled area, if it looks thinner than normal, it's MD

Thanks for the input guys much appreciated. I'm new to this so wasn't even sure what Machine Doubling was. Now after some googling, I see I have much more to learn.

Looks like a business strike to me. In the 60s, Lincoln had a deeper, cameo-like appearance.

A proof coin is made a proof. When circulated it is an impaired proof with a lower grade. PR-53

A business strike coin is a coin made for circulation with grading according to coin wear.

The look is quite different when view side by side.
