I am more into paper money then coins but I spotted this. I am not sure if this is an error or not. On the front around Roosevelt's head are like fine stretch marks. and on the back on the bottom lip it looks as if a layer from the lip is missing. Any advice as to if this is anything work keeping please let me know.

It appears, from your pictures, the coin is badly corroded.
Based on this, I'd say PMD.

Rookie here that doesn't usually go against the majority, as most are more experienced than I.

Pics are a little to far from subject to confirm stretch marks, but most likely due to Die Deterioration.

The missing "lip" of rim is not clear enough for me to say if the cladding peeled away or just damaged.

The last pic looks more like gunk than corrosion to me. Might try soaking in acetone to see if it cleans off. If not then corrosion or staining for sure.

Dies seem slightly misaligned when struck. The odd part is (like the corrosion or gunk) I scrutinize the extra rim thickness being opposite sides on the obverse and the reverse.

Though I'm no expert and minor misalignment's aren't thought as collectable. I still ponder the cause of rim oddities even when they aren't deemed collectable by the majority.

Thanks, Doug.
